More often then not, we are asked what the differences are between Microsoft Office Home and Student, Office Home and Business, and Office Professional. Initially the differences are either not noticeable or disregarded to the average user, but to the the mid level or advanced user, there are many differences worth noticing.

For the general home and student user, the most notable difference is that Office Home and Student does not come with Outlook, Access or Publisher. The reason for this is two fold, 1) many businesses have incorporated Outlook and its features into their business model, and 2) because the Windows Vista and Windows 7 Home versions have a mail client built into them or their updates by default (i.e. Windows Mail, and Windows Live Mail).
